Back to Work

Last week was sick week. Flu is never fun or chic! This week has gone by at the speed of light. Now, I find myself traveling north for a sojourn to Massachusetts.

New updates:

Getting back to Fashion Week. So, I skipped London (lame of me), skipped Milan (Dolce and Bottega were the only shows worth mentioning.) For any of you who truly know me, you know that I am not a huge fan of the Italian style. While I do keep a deep affection for Bottega Veneta and I understand the appeal of Dolce & Gabbana, I still can't wrap my head around those crazy Italians! It just never seems to appeal to me.

So, I say ... THANK GOD FOR PARIS. Paris Fashion Week just began and already I am delighted by two of my usual standbys: Balenciaga and Dries Van Noten. Mais oui. Can't wait to see more. I also can't wait to see if Hillary Alexander will pull anymore wild head dresses out of her Vuitton bag of tricks.

In real estate ...

Yesterday in my office, a co-worker was searching for lofts for a client. She came across a commercial space that was for rent in SoHo. The topic of discussion in the office turned from Lady Gaga to renting commercial space for living. Interesting? These very special clients, (he says with a wink) have been causing said co-worker quite the headache. She has shown them all available downtown football fields she possibly can get into with no result or lease in sight. Anyway, I digress, the point being is a question ... is commercial space "the new hot neighborhood"? Could be. As the market steadily plateaus, much to the shagrin of my coworkers and to myself, could it be that we will be moving our office into our homes or just perhaps ... vice versa?

On a final note, having a television for a brief moment in my current dwelling, the Boston Kimpton, has brought new insight to my t.v. viewing skills. May I present "How to Make It in America.?" Talk amongst yourselves. Cue the new New York it t.v. show. "Sex and the City?" What's that? This show has all the qualities of a hit. Like a couture dress, or a classic six on the park, there's quality, substance and a lot more. Talk a minute and tune in. I liked it. Let me know what you think!

Stay tuned for photo commentary on the Paris shows!

xoxo
